A research project was carried out during 2007 using Gender Impact Assessment tools looking into the needs of Older Women in Leeds. The research spoke to 75 women between the ages of 50 and 90 both in groups and on an individual basis. The findings were used to inform better practice in Leeds for older women. As a result of the research WHM has now been given funding to raise awareness of the issues of domestic violence for older women.
