Digital Support

Project Overview

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, WHM set up a lending library of ChromeBooks, tablets, laptops and mobile phones for use by women and families accessing and engaging with Women’s Health Matters programmes.

Many families do not have access to the technology and the data required to access services and support that are now delivered online. During periods of self-isolation, access to digital support can be essential in maintaining well-being and staying well for families, parents to be, children and young people. With this support, more of our women and families can access support services and groups online, encouraging and adding to the 100% Digital Community initiative across Leeds.

With funding from High Speed Training, we are able to extend the support offered through the Digital Support Project to also include access to online training and 1-to-1 support to enhance digital skills.

Project Offers

Women accessing this project will receive:

  • A ChromeBook, Laptop, or Tablet on a 3 month loan basis

  • Ongoing support with items borrowed

  • A Digital Drop-In once a month

High Speed Training is proud to support Women's Health Matters to deliver a digital inclusion programme for all the women that they work with. As an online training provider, we understand the importance of digital connectivity and how important it is for life chances. This programme will provide access to digital devices, key worker support, and both digital and employability training, so that women can become more confident with using digital technologies and gain more control in their lives.
